- A vintage Burmese teak writing desk given a second life at Hock Siong.
Originally made as a corner desk to fit around a structural column, it came to us with a section missing and two legs absent, but the beautiful teak and unusual form were far too good to discard.
We reworked it into a freestanding desk, filling the original cut-out with a recycled plastic panel by our neighbours at Semula, while our carpentry team crafted two tapered pencil legs to complete the piece.
A thoughtful mix of old and new, and a little example of how good furniture can keep evolving. - Depth of table top (Trapezium-shaped): 56–88 cm
